Position Overview:

The Specialist, Leadership & Organizational Development, will work as part of a team dedicated to supporting Movement Organizational Development projects and leadership development activities. The candidate will need to build strong working relationships with senior leadership and Regional teams to ensure their collaboration with and support for the work of the Department.  Outstanding candidates will have experience in project coordination, database management, administration and special events, a strong ability to execute routine workloads, understanding of international contexts and previous exposure to fast-paced environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

Organizational Development

  • Help introduce and facilitate ways of sharing best practices between Programs and across Regions to support a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Manage monthly Global Leadership and Organizational Development (GLOD) calls and in-person meetings. Develop GLOD team annual plan with projects, monthly agenda, produce meeting minutes and actions, ensure completion of the actions by the team members.
  • Support International Advisory Committee (IAC) logistics and production of meeting minutes.
  • Track submissions and conduct analysis of Program Quality Standards. Support development of Program categorization based on Program Quality Standards data.
  • Support development and upkeep of Program Profiles (local and PowerBi versions)
  • Conduct data analysis and develop reports of Program data, especially related to local level programming.
  • Manage creation and organization of resource pages to organize tools for improving growth and quality of Programs and local clubs.
  • Support Program annual planning process (update planning templates, support with planning template trainings, compile and analyze planning data).
  • Any other duties as requested from time to time.

Leadership

  • Support Leadership workshops logistics, ongoing tracking, review and reporting of databases (Percipio, Impact tracker) and follow-up from the leadership development events.
  • Support with tracking Leadership Academy participants data.
  • Support curation and sharing of leadership training and development materials, including Dashboards, e-learning materials and resources.
  • Maintain Leadership pages on Special Olympics website(s) current and up-to-date. Support with internal communications on the ongoing leadership projects.
  • Any other duties as requested from time to time

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualification in a relevant discipline such as planning, business administration, or project management
  • 2 years work experience in a similar role
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to make decisions and drive results
  • Strong writing and communication skills, and outstanding attention to detail
  • Exceptional technical aptitude with all MS Office products, database/IT systems
  • Positive approach to work with proven ability to stay proactive and focused on routine tasks
  • Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to adopt a patient, diplomatic approach and solve problems while maintaining strong work relationships
  • Capacity to travel independently both nationally and internationally, including non-traditional work hours (nights and/or weekends) where required
  • Ability to work day-to-day without face-to-face on-site supervision
  • Ability to work professionally with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

            • Technical knowledge of PowerBi and Smartsheet
