What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Work hand-in-hand with the Scout Corporate Areas to identify the right suppliers to build and supply goods & services.
- Establish sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, lead the sourcing process up to and including contract award.
- Lead cross-functional teams to support the evaluation of suppliers via the RFP process. Work together and collaborate with the diverse Scout business areas.
- Act as Project Manager and Procurement lead.
- Prepare and execute commercial negotiations including contractual documents and nomination agreements.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina OR Novi, Michigan. Preference given to applicants currently located in the greater Columbia, South Carolina or Novi, MI vicinity.
- The responsibilities of this role require attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Minimum Requirements:
- 2-5 years in purchasing environment with experience developing and executing procurement category strategies.
- 2-5 years of proven track-record in negotiations
- 2-5 years of project management experience
- 2-5 years of knowledge of procurement systems (SAP, Ivalua, Coupa, etc.)
- Strong Experience managing supplier performance
- Ability to develop, nurture, and maintain excellent stakeholder and partner supplier relationships
- Thorough knowledge of automotive, manufacturing or related industries
- Ability to take on additional special projects in addition to standard responsibilities.
- MS Office Suite Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or other relevant area.
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years of experience in Service-related categories such as Consulting, Project Management, Travel Services, Security, HR Services, Training Services.
- 2-5+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement
- 2-5+ years of experience in Automotive Industry particularly in launch, startup, or new model programs
