Job duties

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load) to support the ingestion, processing, and storage of large datasets
• Work collaboratively with analysts, and other engineers to understand and meet the data needs of various projects.
• Develop and implement data models, database schemas, and integration strategies that ensure data consistency and reliability.
• Manage and optimize database performance including troubleshooting and debugging data issues.
• Build robust data validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Fully document existing and new processes to ensure proper methodology and adherence to best practices.
• Ensure high levels of data security and compliance in line with the company's policies.
• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest improvements and drive innovation in data engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• 5+ years’ SQL programming experience.
• 3+ years’ Databricks experience.
• Proficiency in various programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP and their associated data services (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and data quality.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of real estate or related industry data is a plus.

Preferred

• Having a broad understanding of the Corporate Real Estate business.
• Development experience in SharePoint Power Applications and SSRS (Report Builder).
• Business analysis, consulting/advisory and/or project or client management experience.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Certifications in Databricks and Azure.

Estimated total compensation ran for this position is:

138,000.00 – 150,000.00 USD per year

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
