SEND Tutor - Sefton

Make a difference to a young person's education! Prospero Teaching are recruiting SEND Tutors across Sefton.

The Opportunity

We are looking for caring and experienced SEND Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 educational support.

Learners may require additional support due to SEND, gaps in education or difficulties engaging with mainstream education.

You'll have the opportunity to create engaging sessions based around the learner's individual needs, helping them develop confidence and re-engage with learning.

Position Details:

Location: Sefton
Position: SEND Tutor
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND
Background in teaching, tutoring, mentoring or youth work
Understanding of additional needs and barriers to learning
Experience supporting SEMH, Autism or ADHD is advantageous
QTS or equivalent desirable
Calm, patient and creative approach

To be eligible for this role, you must:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references
