Perks & Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay:  $80,000 per year, exempt
  • Full Range Scale: $80,000 - $89,169.70 per year (The starting rate for this position is fixed at $80,000/year. Pay increases occur over time and are tied to tenure/length of employment with Dungarvin.)
  • Schedule: 8 AM - 5 PM PST (some flexibility available, but must be flexible to meet program needs)

Job Description

As the Special Projects Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing, launching, and strengthening services statewide. You’ll work closely with the State Director to identify opportunities, respond to RFPs, build new programs from the ground up.  You’ll also step into leadership roles when needed, support internal operations, and represent Dungarvin in community engagement efforts and help drive long-term strategic initiatives.

This position is ideal for someone who can see the big picture, take initiative, and bring creative solutions to life while also staying grounded in day-to-day execution.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading the development of high-quality programs and services that support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Responding to RFPs and supporting business development efforts that align with Dungarvin’s mission
  • Lead and support the full development process for new programs—from assisting with licensing and location selection to coordinating site setup, staffing, and community outreach.
  • Serving in interim leadership roles, such as Acting Program Director, to support stabilization or expansion of services
  • Building strong, collaborative relationships with regional centers, local agencies, and provider networks
  • Representing Dungarvin at transition fairs, public policy meetings, and provider forums
