Basic Job Functions:

The Special Projects Electrician will be responsible for designing and installing new electrical equipment, as well as troubleshooting existing systems.  This position will also be responsible for managing power upgrades, modifying current processes, and overseeing external electrical contractors.  Candidate must be willing to safely perform various roles within the team, including fabrication, troubleshooting, and machine work.  

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Journeyman Electrician Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 24V, 120V, 480V 3-phase
• Experience troubleshooting Allen Bradly electronics
• 3+ years industrial electrical experience
• Experience in planning and facilitating electrical projects.
• Experience in automation, PLC programming, and high-voltage systems
