This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Lewis Cass special education program.  
 

Description:

 

• Ability to work under the direction of both special education teacher and general education teachers
• Participate in in-service training
• Provide small group and/or individual instruction as planned by the teacher
• Work with students with varying abilities and special education needs

  

Requirements:

 

• Follow work schedules as designed by the teacher
• Ability to develop positive relationships with students and staff
• Knowledge of content in assigned areas
• Understanding and implementation of confidentiality
• Assisting related services such as: occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech/language therapy
• Performing any other duties assigned by the special education teacher

  

Qualifications:

 

• High school diploma
• 60 hours of college credit or paraprofessional certification preferred
• Completion of Indiana and Federal background check requirements
