Sous Chef

Location: Hunt Valley, Phoenix, MD

Hunt Valley Country Club is a premier golf destination nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Phoenix, MD. We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional golfing experience paired with outstanding food and beverage services. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our team and contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen.
• Contribute to the creation and development of new menu items, ensuring variety and quality.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
• Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation, adhering to established recipes and standards.
• Manage inventory levels and order supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Enforce strict hygiene, health, and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Be adaptable to changes in menu, volume, and other kitchen priorities.

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
• Strong creative and organizational skills with an ability to think outside the box.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a high-paced environment.
• In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen management.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $30.00/hr.
