Sourcing Technology Services Expert
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed category strategy that meets IT Hardware, Maintenance, Data Center, Cloud, Co-location and Low Latency Electronic Trading Infrastructure, other Hosted Platforms/Services, Networks and related IT Outsourcing and Managed Services requirements by conducting spend analytics and further developing scope through interaction with business stakeholders.
- Understand business requirements and review existing product or service arrangements to recommend alternative strategies for improved efficiencies and cost savings.
- Identify and translate operational requirements into metrics, SLAs, and contractual terms.
- Negotiate agreements that incorporate business requirements and deliver substantial cost savings, improved service levels, and flexibility.
- Identify potential sourcing synergies between companies, real-time benchmarking, and knowledge sharing of best practices.
- Follow required processes related to supplier engagement.
- Conduct competitive bids for IT engagements and lead the evaluation and selection process.
- Prepare, issue, administer and analyze RFXs.
- Negotiate with suppliers on pricing and contract topics, including indemnification, direct damages, dispute resolution, management policies/procedures, confidentiality terms, and termination rights.
- Assess savings opportunities and work with clients to achieve cost reductions.
- Support cross-functional sourcing team activities associated with selection processes, including maximizing marketplace leverage, determining competitive alternatives, and prioritizing business objectives, while promoting team consensus.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships and stay current on their products, services, and competitors.
- Develop and establish monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews with strategic suppliers to monitor adherence to SLAs, operational issue tracking, reporting, and service delivery.
- Work with data center and infrastructure technologies, products, and services; contract and vendor management/stakeholder relationships and strategic sourcing; contract negotiation; developing financial analysis and technology investment business cases; and, evaluating new technology offerings for business value and adoption readiness.
Position based in Jersey City, NJ. Telecommuting/remote work is permitted within commuting distance 2-3 days per week.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management Accounting, or a related field of study, plus eight (8) years of experience with data center and infrastructure technologies, products, and services; contract and vendor management/stakeholder relationships or strategic sourcing; contract negotiation; developing financial analysis and technology investment business cases; and/or, evaluating new technology offerings for business value and adoption readiness. Alternatively, the employer will accept ten (10) years of experience with data center and infrastructure technologies, products, and services; contract and vendor management/stakeholder relationships or strategic sourcing; contract negotiation; developing financial analysis and technology investment business cases; and/or, evaluating new technology offerings for business value and adoption readiness.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $173,400 per year
