Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a senior level position for a Solutions Senior Director (Special Operations) managing and supporting United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and USSOCOM’s subordinate commands requirements. The Solutions Senior Director will be responsible for leading strategy development, planning, solutioning, execution, and delivery of multiple, complex projects supporting USSOCOM and its subordinate units, with a primary focus on the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), and the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and experience of successfully leading, and managing Special Operations requirements at the Senior Leader Levels and leading cross-functional teams.

How a Solutions Sr Director will make and Impact:

• Leading the Planning, Solutioning, Execution, and Delivery of multiple, complex projects and requirements supporting USSOCOM and its subordinate units, with a primary focus on USASOC and JSOC.   
•  Strategic Planning and Execution; developing plans, solutions, schedules, and ensuring alignment with Special Operations customer, organizational and business objectives.
• Special Operations Customer and Stakeholder Management; building and maintaining strong relations with customers and stakeholders, managing customer expectations, addressing their concerns, solutioning their requirements, and resolution of issues.
• Program and Project Oversight; managing and coordinating cross-functional teams, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and mitigating risk to ensure programs / projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Resource and Budget Management; managing multiple project budgets, allocating resources, qualified staff, and optimizing resource utilization across projects.
• Communication and Reporting; keep customers, stakeholders and internal business senior leadership informed of project status, progress, risks and issues.
• On Program Growth and Strategic New Business Growth Initiatives; identify, plan and pursue opportunities for on program growth, and strategic new business growth opportunities, and initiatives within the USSOCOM customer market segment in coordination, and collaboration with the Defense Growth Team.
• Team Leadership; leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring a positive work environment.
• Process Improvement; implementing best practices and process improvements to enhance program / project delivery.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:   

• Education: Bachelor of Arts / Science required
• Required Technical Experience: 15 + Years experience supporting U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) in SOF Core Mission Areas and SOF Core Operations (Military, Government Civilian or Industry) (USASOC experience preferred)
• Required Experience: 5 + Years Management experience managing US Special Operations requirements, and projects
• Security Clearance Level: Top Secret Clearance required to start
• Location: Hybrid to Fayetteville, North Carolina office
• Travel Required for this Role up to 50%
• US Citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $184,875 - $250,125. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
