About the role

Aescape is looking for a Software Systems Technical Program Manager who can lead and execute complex cross-functional projects to deliver innovative software-generated massage content and next-gen content tools. You’ll be collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, product management, design, marketing, and external partners as we redefine the massage therapy experience through technology. This is an amazing opportunity for you to own the development and launch of groundbreaking content solutions and develop your leadership skills as we revolutionize the massage therapy industry. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!

This role is hybrid based out in NYC

Aescape is the NY-based lifestyle robotics company redefining self-care.

We announced the world's first commercially available, fully automated AI-powered massage experience with Equinox in March — and this is only the beginning. We are in a period of rapid growth, launching our category-transforming product throughout 2024 with global leaders in hospitality, wellness, sports and fitness.

Backed by $85M in funding from investors like Valor Equity Partners (an early investor in Tesla and SpaceX), we've assembled a team of top talent across connected hardware and fitness from industry giants like Amazon, Apple, Peloton, Tonal, Uber, The New York Knicks, and more to bring people and robotics together for better living.

In less than 48 hours since announcing our launch and partnership, publications like WIRED, Fast Company, Popular Science, Sports Business Journal, Fortune and Now This News have covered our news, with remarkable enthusiasm.

What You’ll Do

As a Software Systems Technical Program Manager at Aescape you will drive large, cross-functional programs related to software generated massage content and next gen content tool development. This requires partnering with engineering and product management to facilitate all aspects of projects: define, schedule, prioritize, track, proactively manage and communicate status of projects. You will lead efforts across teams representing multiple layers of the content development as well as other cross-functional partners including various parts of software engineering, hardware, product, design, marketing, partnership and other organizations within and outside of Aescape. Strong written and verbal communication is key as you drive projects forward, prioritize work, facilitate the removal of obstacles and escalate risks.

  • In collaboration with Product Management and Engineering, manage content programs through their complete lifecycle, including next gen content tooling research and development.

  • Own cross-functional content development and production timeline, critical path and responsible for the delivery of new content to Partners and Members.

  • Assist with requirements documentation, user story creation, develop detailed project plans, and identify tasks, roles and responsibilities.

  • Track milestones and dependencies, ensure on-time completion of tasks from all relevant teams.

  • Proactively identify, mitigate and resolve risks and issues.

  • Keep senior management apprised of program status and communicate issues in a timely manner.

  • Analyze development processes and identify areas for improvements.

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years of SW program management experience, 4+ years with robotics: A successful track record of leading and shipping multiple complex software and content projects, with a focus on the robotics industry in the past two years.

  • Strong “hands-on” technology program management skills
