Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$96,400.00 - $159,100.00

Travelers is seeking a Software Quality Engineer I to join our organization as we grow and transform our Technology landscape.
Passionate about testing cutting edge technology with innovation in identity and Cybersecurity , join the Customer IAM (CIAM) Team. CIAM team here at Travelers is on journey to modernize the CIAM landscape and thrives on creativity and collaboration.
We seek a dedicated software quality Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end testing of CIAM flows. It will also include developing the automation framework along with collaborating with development & cross functional teams. You will be the driving force behind our strategy to deliver secure solutions with improved user experience.

What Will You Do?

• Develop the QA roadmap to establish strategic direction of QA work for our platforms.
• Develop and expand our test automation framework and test coverage including integration to our continuous delivery (CI/CD) process thereby enabling agile process.
• Develop working knowledge of the entire application stack of CIAM flows including tests at all levels. (Unit, Integration, and End-to-end). Testing frameworks includes but not limited to Selenium, Cypress, Jest, xunit/nunit etc.
• Groom and prune tests at all levels to ensure optimal coverage and effective deduplication.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and with the wider product and development team to understand how new features should be tested and to contribute to automated tests for these new features.
• Collaborate with engineers to define and implement mechanisms to inject testing earlier into the software development process.
• Identify, share, and nurture the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability. You should champion clean code and the concept of the test pyramid.
• Analyze complex software systems and collaborate with others to improve the overall design, testability, and quality.
• Strive for the fastest feedback possible. Test parallelization should be a top priority. You see distributed systems as a core challenge of good test automation infrastructure.
• Configure automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in CI/CD environments.
• Track and communicate test results in a timely, effective, and automated manner.
• Work within guidelines set by team to independently tackle well-scoped problems.
• Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

• Three years of programming/development experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in developing automated test suites using programming languages.

What is a Must Have?

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in work experience.
• One year of programming/development experience.
