Software QA Manager

Experian is looking for a talented Software QA Manager to help build our next cutting edge web application which will allow consumers to purchase a variety of Experian’s products and services. We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient person to lead our Quality Assurance team and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the QA engineering team, by providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Define and implement robust QA processes, strategies, and best practices across the organization, incorporating automated testing wherever possible.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to deeply understand project requirements, specifications, and objectives.
• Create, review, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases that cover functional, regression, and performance testing using Java, Cucumber, and Selenium.
• Create and executed test plan for integration, end-to-end and uat testing
• Perform thorough code reviews of automated test scripts, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and test coverage.
• Supervise the design and development of sophisticated and maintainable automated test scripts for UI and API testing.
• Oversee the use of performance testing tools like JMeter to assess system performance under various workloads and conditions.
• Work closely with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects, ensuring the delivery of highly reliable software.
• Implement and maintain effective quality assurance reporting, metrics, and dashboards to provide insights into the software development process.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, new tools, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA team members, fostering continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of QA tasks.

Qualifications

• Proficient in object oriented software/web/API development experience (e.g. Java, Groovy, Shell, Perl, C#, Ruby, Python, JavaScript)
• Advance Level in Cucumber/Java automation framework
• Working knowledge of Microservices architecture, No-SQL Databases, and variants of structured query languages
• Working knowledge of SQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, AuroraDB, AWS RedShift, Splunk, Raw data within text, .csv, .xls/.xlsx, JSON, XML files, Jmeter
• Experience in testing enterprise level web applications, web services, databases, and highly scalable eCommerce architectures
• Experience with Agile testing practices, SDLC process, Business Intelligence processes, Business Operations, Data Analytics
• Understands deployment pipeline, continuous integration, and code coverage
• Ability to build and contribute to Jenkins, AWS Batch and AWS CICD pipeline
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt within a rapidly changing environment and know when to ask for help
• Ability to work with source control systems, such as GIT or TFS (branching, merging, etc.)

Education and Experience:

• BA/BS or Master’s in Computer Science or quantitative or related field preferred
• At least 10+ years of combined experience as a quality assurance analyst/engineer including applications development and testing utilizing the complete software development life cycle
• 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role
• Experience working with automation testing frameworks (Cucumber, Protractor) and developing testing scripts using Selenium and Restassured
• Functional Frontend/Backend testing experience required across multiple platforms – Web App, Mobile
