We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Product Engineer in Mount Pleasant, PA to enhance the CapDes configurator, used for capacitor design. This role combines core software engineering with research, automation, and client interaction, offering an opportunity to drive modernization and develop intelligent automation features for factory systems. You will work with cross-functional teams based in Canada, Sweden, and India, contributing to the enhancement of design systems and optimizing business processes across the organization. How You'll Make an Impact

• Act as the key technical interface between software developers, subject matter experts, and end users.

• Prepare business cases with clear user stories and analysis for development.

• Ensure all user stories are developed per business requirements and identify failure modes to eliminate.

• Validate configurator output with test cases before release.

• Coordinate tool interfaces (SAP, e-Business, etc.) with configurators as required.

• Support the development team with product and logic information in collaboration with SMEs.

• Enhance and upgrade design systems using object-oriented programming principles and modern development practices.

• Conduct R&D on existing design software to evaluate performance and scalability.

• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Your Background

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering with 1-2 years of industry experience.

• Proficiency in object-oriented languages (e.g., Java, Python).

• Experience with RESTful API development, microservices, and SQL databases.

• Exposure to Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD and version control systems.

• Strong understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.

• Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools.
