Title: Software Performance Engineer

Location: Richardson office 4-5 days per week  

Developer Duties 

• Learn the details of our security products through the setup of multi-system test scenarios 

• Design, develop, and automate a performance test framework to evaluate our products 

• Assist with the day-to-day management of a small data center 

• Work to become a subject matter expert on Networking, UEFI, and automation tools 

• Must be willing to watch 90’s movies to understand quotes used by management 

Requirements 

• Ability to obtain a security clearance in the future, if needed 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degrees are a plus 

• Self-motivated and flexible to changing tasks 

• Strong desire to learn new skills and tools as needed 

• Must have 6 months experience with C/C++ or Python 

• Must have 6 months experience developing software for Linux or Unix environments  

Desired Skills 

• Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6) 

• Use of Linux with some administration experience 

• Experience with writing software that uses network communications and/or multiple threads of processing 

• Basic understanding of computer security concepts

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs.
