Captivation Software is looking for a senior level software integration engineer who will be responsible for integrating software Tools and Services in support of the Altassian tool suite known as SUBURBANDEVELOPMENT. The SUBURBANDEVELOPMENT team supports the development of Tools and Services that increase the efficiency of software development and sustainment efforts across large Linux computing environments. The Software Integration Engineer must have effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, end-users, and stakeholders.
Requirements
Security Clearance:
- Must currently hold a Top Secret / SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
- The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.
- An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience. A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.
Required Skills:
- Experience using the Linux CLI to perform basic file system operations and package management
- Experience writing Bash/Python/Groovy scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflows
- Experience using the Atlassian plugin software developer kit (SDK), to create and extend Atlassian applications such as Jira, Service Desk, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo
- Experience creating documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes
- Experience with monitoring and log management tools to track system and application performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify potential problems in a Linux environment.
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) concepts, principles and automation tools such as Ansible and SaltStack
- Experience with interacting and training external customers
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in a team environment that uses Agile principles and methodologies
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and their integration with Atlassian Bitbucket
- Proficiency managing and optimizing SQL databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL
- Experience implementing security best practices, including user access control, SSL/TLS encryption, and regular software updates

Benefits
- Annual Salary: $125,000 - $250,000 (Depends on the years of experience)
