- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience in engineering and technical leadership with people management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with software development in C or C++.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience bringing up human interface devices/input stack, and peripherals.
- Experience in kernel system interface.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Decisive technical direction and streamlining interactions across multiple teams.
- Manage a team of software engineers, driving their technical development, career growth, and enhancing the collective engineering knowledge base across the team.
- Leverage broad and deep technical knowledge to uncover and resolve subtle, complex technical problems in firmware and touchpad, touchscreen controllers, while leading design and code reviews to ensure best practices.
- Serve as a key cross-functional collaborator, partnering with multiple internal teams (e.g., Android platform) and external entities, including Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs), Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), System on a Chip (SoC) partners to integrate and advance touch and input technologies.
- Exhibit leadership across multiple groups, aligning stakeholders with engaging priorities to resolve conflicts and achieve goals in the best interest of Google.
