This Software Engineering Manager opportunity is in the Global Product Representation Services (GPRS) product line which is part of Order Fulfilment Product Group. GPRS is the application development group responsible for the development of a suite of products and services that support the Global Order to Delivery (GOTD), eCommerce, Digital Marketing/B2C systems portfolio and FordPro; providing the data and services that these teams need for product configuration. We are adding a Software Engineering Manager with skills including Microservices, Java, Spring and Google Cloud to our team.

What you'll do...
- Be involved in full stack development and implement end-to-end components of software products
- Provide thought leadership for the development, structure, technology, and tools used within GPRS.
- Champion & lead Software Engineering Excellence practices
- Implement robust CI/ CD processes and development methodologies in Software Engineering within the Product team.
- Assess the technology feasibility of the product group roadmaps along with the anchor.
- Innovate and operate with an iterative, agile and user-centric perspective.
- Collaborate with other Product Line managers within GPRS and architects to reduce complexity across the portfolio, enhance interoperability between services, and make key design decisions.
- Clearly communicate technology & product strategy and vision to team members and internal / external stakeholders.
- Actively work to identify and remove/ mitigate risks and blockers to product delivery.
- Understand business priorities and technical feasibility in order to prioritize the platform backlog, identify dependencies, and manage risks.
- Enable the product manager to initiate or translate the product road map into manageable product features in the backlog through quarterly scoping sessions.
- Work hands-on with the product teams to prioritize, plan, and deliver the platform foundations capabilities.
- Assess the overall health of the product and prompt key decisions to continuously improve.
You'll have...
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience within Software Engineering to include development and leadership roles.
- 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring, Microservices, Angular & similar technologies in an Agile Framework
- 5+ years of experience leading teams
- 6 months + experience with Google Cloud Platform, and OpenShift CAAS

- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field
- The ability to operationalize and assist teams with abstract technology concepts.
- Experience with cloud services and platform knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to drive development of highly technical technology services and capabilities.
- Experience with Lean methodology & eXtreme Programming.
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to drive API economy and solutions
- Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complex decision making in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong leadership, influencing and communication skills and the ability to teach others.
- Awareness of SRE principles and practices
