Software Engineering Intern – Junos Evolved OS Infrastructure

With the move towards cloud computing and hyperscale data centers, there has been a shift in the way networking gear is deployed and managed.  This places some interesting demands on networking software requiring a rethinking of the problem. You will be exploring the internals of Junos Evolved OS networking software and the challenges of building such systems.  We’re looking for highly motivated individuals who thrive on solving complex systems problems. You’ll be working with and coached by a team of strong and seasoned engineers.

We at Juniper Networks are seeking continuing students who are interested in Summer 2025 Internships.   

Successful Software Engineering Intern candidates must: 

• Be enrolled in a BS/MS program preferably in CS/ECE/EEE majors, graduating December 2025 or later. 
• Experience with programming in C/C++/Python
• Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms
• Good knowledge of Operation Systems

Preferred qualifications for this role include: 

• Hands-on experience with Linux OS development and debugging
• Basic concepts of TCP/IP networking

• Ability to work collaboratively and solve problems

Minimum Salary: $84,000.80

Maximum Salary:$120,750.55

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $84,000.80 and $120,750.55/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
