About the role

Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer SharePoint Administrator to join our team on an upcoming Joint Personnel Recovery Agency (JPRA) IT Support Services contract. This position is works closely with the customer, IT support staff, to design, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and administer MS SharePoint & SQL Server.

 

This position is On-site in Ft. Belvoir, VA.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain new tools compatible with Agency baseline capabilities; define, and develop custom code for new features, and forms; database-driven applications to support dynamic content and integration to back-end systems; and interface to internal and external web content, as required.
  • Implement rapid application development using .Net framework, working closely with project sponsors to retract production content, develop changes, and push features forward, for every iteration and maximizing the use of re-usable components and cascading style sheets incorporating appropriate user account creation, permissions, and security; and support for general requirements such as document management, blogs, forums, and wikis.
  • Develop 508 compliant web utilities, features, and forms, using industry standard applications, to include but not limited to C++, C#, Active Server Pages (ASP), Java, HTML 5, Perl, MS Typescripts, and Flash.
  • Administer SharePoint systems and services including user and service accounts and development of custom features.
  • Develop and administer SQL databases including compliance with applicable standards for database security and integrity, including security for web-based access.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, and work experience.
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • 5+ years’ experience with SharePoint and SQL Server
  • Experience with standa  rd and custom application deployments.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II (minimum) or IAT III Baseline Certification is required at time of contract start. 
  • Avid Certified Customer Support (ACSR) Elite certification is required at time of contract start.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 Office products.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to create technical and user documentation for media related infrastructure within area of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of standardized Department of Defense, Air Force, service regulations, organizational policies, procedures, and other instructions relating to infrastructure within area of responsibility.
  • Be able to install equipment, pull cable, label and terminate various low voltage cable types.

Additional Items:

  • Must be able to lift up to 70lbs.
  • Some travel between primary agency site and geographically separated locations may be required to perform assigned duties.
