Experian Data Quality (EDQ) is a fast growing, entrepreneurial organization created under the Experian Corporation. EDQ focuses on providing Data Quality Management Tools and Services utilized by some of the largest organizations in the world to help them effectively manage their data.
We are the North America Product Team within the Experian Data Quality business unit. This team develops innovative solutions that tailor existing products and build new to meet the specific data quality use cases of North American clients. Among other activities, we create and maintain partner platform integrations, allowing our customers to validate address, email, and phone information directly through their existing forms. This team also leverages our flagship Data Quality Platform to build automation into various industries and provides hands on support for individual customers by acting as Subject Matter Experts.
Job Description
What will you do in this role:
The Software Engineer supports and develops existing and new data quality services and software. They will use their software development skills to optimize and design solutions based on business requirements from internal and external stakeholders. The Software Engineer will need to make recommendations on approaches, evaluate various potential solutions, and deploy updates and enhancements to legacy products. The candidate will need to learn how to work with large datasets, but it is not a requirement before starting the job. We have found that candidates with strong programming skills end up being strong contributors in this environment. The candidate must be detail oriented, curious, and able to adapt to business problems in different industries. The candidate must be able to balance multiple concurrent projects, can prioritize projects, anticipate obstacles, and make high quality deliveries on an aggressive schedule. The candidate must be a team player that is self-motivated and has excellent communication skills.
Key job functions include:
- Convert business requirements to working prototypes and eventual deployment
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specs and programming
· Build and support integrations between common CRM’s and Experian products, including managing and creating technical documentation.
· Help individual customers with personalized implementations.
· Promote sustainable design and mature solutions to ensure the continued success of integrations.
Qualifications
What we need from you:
- B.S. in Computer Science (or comparable degree / experience)
- Salesforce programming knowledge including SOQL, Visualforce, and Apex
- Minimum 2 years programming experience
- Strong understanding of web development languages (CSS, HTML, JavaScript)
- Experience in an Object-Oriented language (.Net, Java, etc.)
- Effective communication skills
