As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's Retail Lending organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX. Weekly time in the office is needed.

Support is needed during release windows over weekends and late evenings, as needed. Releases are once or twice a month. Occasional travel for meetings.

PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.

Needed requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.
• Solid experience as a software developer, with a strong background in Java, Springboot, and microservices.
• Experience with PL/SQL and database design.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred experience:
Experience with Fico Platform (PLOR, Decision Modeler)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with data methodologies and data pipelines.
• Experience with financial services or the retail lending industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Software Development: Lead the development of robust and scalable software solutions with Fico platform as well as other products/solutions using Java, Springboot and micro services using Openshift Container Platform. You will be responsible for full software development cycle from design and development to testing and deployment. Release deployment is an additional responsibility for this role.

Technical Leadership:
Act as a technical mentor for the team, providing guidance and support to junior engineers. You will be expected to lead code reviews, ensure best practices, and contribute to the architectural design of the new features and systems.

DevOps and CI/CD : Utilize DevOps principles and tools to automate our CI/CD Pipelines. Experience with tools like Jenkins, Bit bucket or similar platforms is a plus.

Data and Analytics: Work with data methodologies and tools to analyze and trouble shoot compelx issues. You will be required to coordinate with various teams while investigating.

Troubleshooting and support: Provide release support over weekends and late evenings as needed. Our releases are once or twice a month. You will be responsible for release activities on Fico platform and ensuring the stability of our systems.

Collaboration: Work with a cross-functional team, including product managers, business analystis, and other engineers to define and implement new features.
