Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer with advanced programming skills, natural leadership, creativity, and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have a talent for advising junior programmers, proposing maintainable solutions, identifying best practices, and troubleshooting the most challenging issues in software development.

Requirements

• Collaborate as an active member of a Scrum Development team. 
• Provide advice and coordinate with Product Owners to navigate project scope, risk, and development strategies. 
• Independently tackle complex coding assignments within two-week sprint cycles. 
• Stay abreast of the evolving software development landscape to introduce fresh methodologies to the team. 
• Preserve and enhance a deep understanding of coding practices and system design. 
• Enhance team collaboration by facilitating open and effective communication. 
• Commit to on-time completion of development tasks, upholding our standards for quality, performance, and adherence to SOPs. 
• Define and resolve software issues, contributing to a seamless user experience. 
• Document all progress, discussions, and changes in scope meticulously in Jira. 
• Provide support during our weekly nighttime production deployments on a rotational basis. 
• Contribute to the enhancement of our GetGuru knowledge base. 
• Engage in technical support ticket bashes as required. 
• Keep the Software Engineering Manager informed about progress and obstacles. 
• Collaborate with QA to fix defects discovered during development cycles. 
• Develop and implement unit tests to validate features and safeguard against future issues. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 
• Over 4 years of experience with a track record of superior performance. 
• Expertise in C#, .NET framework, Microsoft SQL Server, and MVC. 
• Proficiency in translating user requirements into effective software solutions. 
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems effectively. 
• History of developing and successfully delivering complex software solutions to customers. 
• Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Preferred 5+ years of software development experience with extensive use of C#, SQL Server, Advanced SQL, TSQL, SQL Cursors, MVC, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, GIT, Entity Framework, Postman, and Telerik. 
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure infrastructure. 
• Experience with Razor, source control tools like GIT or TFS.
