About the Role
In this opportunity as a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to design scalable, resilient, and high-performing software solutions with strong product and domain understanding
- Contribute to the technical design and hands-on implementation of key initiatives, working closely with product owners, architects, and engineering teams
- Drive engineering excellence through high-quality code contributions, thorough code reviews, robust testing strategies, and continuous improvement practices
- Apply and promote industry best practices, coding standards, and development processes across projects
- Mentor and support junior engineers through knowledge sharing, technical guidance, and constructive feedback
- Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality software solutions, support sound technical decisions, and ensure timely execution of project milestones
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and planning sessions with Product Owners and engineering teams to align priorities, technical feasibility, and delivery goals
- Identify technical risks, contribute mitigation strategies, and help resolve complex engineering challenges
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and operational excellence within the team.
About You
You're fit for the role of Senior Software Engineer if your background includes:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on software development experience with a strong track record of delivering scalable and reliable software solutions
- Proven experience contributing to the design and delivery of complex software projects and distributed systems
- Strong software engineering skills with the ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and contribute to technical decision-making
- Advanced proficiency in JVM-based languages such as Java and Scala
- Interest in working with Scala and willingness to explore functional programming paradigms
- Deep understanding of software design patterns, architectural principles, and system design best practices
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker
- Strong expertise in relational database management systems
- Good understanding of enterprise architecture concepts including scalability, system integration, security, reliability, and testing strategies
- Proficiency with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems
- Strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code
- Experience implementing automated testing and quality assurance practices across the development lifecycle
- Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and work effectively in changing technologies, business needs, and priorities
- Agile mindset with the flexibility to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and organizational levels.
