Your Responsibilities

 

 As a Software Engineer for John Deere World Headquarters located in Moline, IL, you will:

 

• be responsible for delivering a modern quoting application used for sourcing decisions. The solution will be used both internally by John Deere personnel, and externally by suppliers around the world.
•  Develop and implement technical solutions to deliver on User Stories
•  Assist in resolution of IT technical issues in the product team
•  Establish and implement CI/CD pipelines Develop automated test scripts
•  Work on a product team and support product design by planning its work, coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver moderately complex functionality.

What Skills You Need

 

• 2 or more years of modern web development experience using React, Node and Service Oriented Architecture
• 2 or more years of varied DB experience (e.g. DB2, Postgres, NoSQL)
• 1 or more years of experience with DevOps principles and lean development such as Continuous Integration (GitHub) and Continuous Delivery (GitHub Actions)

What Makes You Standout

 

• Experience with financial applications and business processes
• Experience with cloud operational environments, preferably AWS
• Understanding of Supply Management processes

Education

 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
