Experian Shared Marketing team is currently looking for Senior software engineer with Strong AWS and Java technologies. In this role, candidate will help develop global enterprise applications and services on customer facing external websites.
Candidates need to have hands on and good experience in developing applications in AWS cloud environment. Successful candidates will have a zeal for quickly learning new skills, this being a position that is highly collaborative,
positive attitude, appetite to learn new tools and technologies and excellent communication skills are essential
Job Description
- Able to work in cross-functional team where you will work with engineers, technical leads, and Operations team to build and maintain critical services and applications
- Working with more tenured peers to gain understanding of existing systems
- Involved with design and architecture of enterprise software applications and/or systems
- Develop high quality and well structure code with required security controls as per Experian Security standards
- Enhance and Maintain applications as per requirements and user stories
- Develop Prototypes and proof of concepts for incremental solution development
- Develop Unit test plans and perform required unit and build testing
- Complete technical documentation and build procedures to support deployments

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Ideally in Computer Science/Engineering)
- 4+ years of software experience building robust, efficient, and scalable applications.
- Experience with AWS cloud environment. Experience with application migrations into AWS preferred
- Strong knowledge on with AWS Cloud Architecture, Cloud Storage, API Management & CI/CD deployment
- Strong analytical and software design skills
- 5+ years of Java and other programming language experience
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle & MySQL.
- 3+ years in application development with AWS cloud implementation
- 3+ years of experience in AWS technologies including microservices, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudFront and Cloud Monitoring services preferred
- Experience with Spring Boot framework
- Experience with Infrastructure as a code leveraging Cloud Formation and/or Terraform to provision AWS preferred
- Experience with version control tools (GIT, Bitbucket)
- Good knowledge of Linux operating system
- Experience with agile practices like Scrum
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-moving environment and work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously without impact to quality of work
Nice to have
- AWS Professional or Associate Developer certification
- DevOps Experience
- Experience with Content Management System development
