A Software Engineer is responsible for the software design and development of the interior aircraft electronic components through all the phases of the project including preliminary design, development, certification and product support.
In this internship, you will improve your skills that will open doors for your career development:
What You Will Do:
- Develop technical requirements for software components.
- Perform software development and verification of different modules.
- Develop tools and procedures to aid the development or testing processes.
- Perform performance profiling activities.
- Learn troubleshooting skills by analyzing software defects and identifying technical solutions
- Analyze CAN, RS485 communication logs and identify potential issues.
- Preparation and presentation of technical data in design reviews
- Ability to work independently and within a multi-functional team environment.
- Learn electronics product development cycle.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Be majoring in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering.
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher.
- Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university.
- Completed basic programming and/or electronics classes.
- Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.
- C language knowledge is a plus
