Software Engineer, Information Systems

<h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2> <p>Muon seeks a Software Engineer to join our Information Systems team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and versatile software engineer with a strong desire to develop mission-critical internal software and platforms with the primary goal to reduce manual and repetitive tasks. <br><br>The Information Systems team owns the comprehensive suite of custom software, vendor software, data platforms and automated tools that will enable various teams to work more rapidly, our factories to build efficiently, and our launch teams to operate flawlessly.</p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Hands-on software development of internal software using modern methodologies and tools.</li> <li>Own the end-to-end software development from product concept to delivery and maintenance to our internal customers.</li> <li>Participate in designing overall information systems architecture, from technology selection to buy-vs-build decisions.</li> <li>Embrace adaptability by taking on meaningful responsibilities as the company’s needs change, and be comfortable changing elevations from low-level coding to higher-level project and initiative needs.</li> <li>Assist in the integration and implementation of core systems (e.g., custom ERP, PLM, MES, Supply Chain) to integrate seamlessly and automate handoffs between functions.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience</li> <li>5+ years full-stack (frontend and backend) software engineering experience.</li> <li>Proficiency in common programming languages such as Python and Javascript along with common libraries such as React and Angular.</li> <li>Experience selecting and deploying database technology based on specific performance and feature needs (SQL/NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB, etc)</li> <li>Proficiency developing, versioning and optimizing REST and GraphQL APIs.</li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills</li> <li>Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with new challenges each week</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Nice-to-have Skills</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Modern space systems experience, including software ecosystems.</li> <li>Proven success in a high-growth startup environment</li> </ul> <h1><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Salary</span></h1> <p>The salary range for this role is $156,000 - $186,000, plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package.
