Software Engineer III - Engineering Support

In the Software Engineer III role you will analyze, design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and support applications based on customer requests to ensure successful operation and conformance to requirements.

A day in the life

• Hands-on software development
• Learn and apply new technologies and problem-solving skills to create quality products and solutions
• Collaborate with other Engineering Team Members on best practices and solutions
• Respond to operational needs as they arise (ie critical defects)

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field and at least 3 years of relevant technical experience OR a Master’s degree in one of the aforementioned fields and at least 1 year of relevant technical experience
• Strong CS fundamentals and fluent in multiple major programming languages, preferably including Python
• 4+ years performing object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complex analysis
• Ability to structure and analyze large data sets
• Experience working with and a strong fundamental understanding of relational databases; PostgreSQL preferred
• User and administrative experience or knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Experience with big data platforms (AWS, Athena, Hadoop, etc)
• Experience designing, building, and optimizing front‐end applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
