As a Software Engineer II, you will join our Connected Aviation Solutions– Air Traffic Solutions Software Engineering Department supporting the AutoTrac ALPHA portfolio. The ATS Software Engineering department consists of 120+ Software Engineers that are developing and supporting several of our Air Traffic Control Systems worldwide.

The AutoTrac ALPHA Portfolio consists of multiple product line baselines such as: AutoTrac II (AT2), AutoTrac III (AT3), and AutoTrac IV (AT4). Located in Australia, India, Hong Kong and other global locations, this team provides both warranty support as well as new feature development. Our programs are safety-of-life air traffic management systems we have developed for the FAA and international Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) for use by air traffic controllers controlling civil and military aviation.

This is an opportunity to learn new COTS, tools, processes, and methodologies as you focus on improving your skills to support, design, develop, integrate, and test operational software components throughout the Agile software development life cycle.

What You Will Do:

  • You will work onsite in our Marlborough, MA site location.
  • You will perform and support the software team to design, develop, integrate and test operational and non-operational software updates for our AutoTrac Product Lines (AT2, AT3, AT4) software baselines.

  • You will participate in agile associated processes and procedures used for daily standups, sprint planning, sprint feature development, retrospectives, back log grooming and story pointing while using Atlassian tool suite.

What You Will Learn:

  • Portions of our international Air Traffic Control System Product Line software baselines are written in the DoD Ada programming language. If unfamiliar with Ada, you will gain experience in trouble shooting issues, resolving issues and developing new software features in an existing Ada software product baseline.
  • During the development, integration and testing of your software, you will learn how air traffic controllers use our Air Traffic Control System software.

Qualifications You Must Have:
