Overview
The Cyber & Intelligence Solutions division is responsible for Mastercard’s safety and security related product development efforts to protect the integrity of the electronic payment system as well as ensure payments are convenient yet secure. Identity Check from C&I is Mastercard's global authentication solution based on the EMV 3-D Secure protocol and Mastercard state-of-art authentication intelligence. It is designed to help provide security for digital transactions and facilitate higher approval rates, by improving the authentication experience for merchants, issuers, and cardholders for e-commerce transactions. As part of our team, you will play a critical part in developing high-performing, highly scalable software solutions designed to enhance our Identity Check product.
Role:
• Own software delivery tasks (code development, test, deployment) at an application/software component level
• Work closely with architects, tech leads, developers, analysts and project managers to understand requirements and delivery solutions adhering to standards and best practices
• Able to troubleshoot and refactor existing code
• Adopt new languages and architecture patterns needed for the work
• Influence the decisions made by the team
• Assist peers and less experienced members
• Demonstrate active learning and sharing of software practices via Guild/Engineering community initiatives
All About You:
• Hands on experience with Java/Java EE with Spring framework (including Spring Boot), Redis and/or OracleDB, Tomcat application server
• Understands and follows secure coding standards (e.g. OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT) to produce secure code
• Understands and implements standard branching (e.g. Gitflow) and peer review practices
• Understands and builds test code at unit level, service level, and integration level to ensure code and functional coverage
• Experience with testing tools such as Junit/Mockito/Spring Test
• Experience with a variety of architectural patterns including high performance, high availability transaction processing systems, and multi-tiered web applications
• Self-motivated with the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal direction
• Strong logical and analytics skills with the ability to articulate and present their thoughts clearly
• Collaborative team player with a desire to learn from and teach others
