Software Engineer II

We’re a fully distributed company with a high degree of autonomy working 100% remotely. At Articulate, you’ll work closely with an awesome team of software engineers and product designers to build industry-leading products and solve interesting problems.

What you'll do:

• Build new features and enhance existing ones with an eye for quality
• Write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability. 
• Collaborate closely with remote teammates
• Review your peers’ work constructively
• Participate in our incident response process, including on-call rotation
• Be part of a growing remote-first company with a world-class culture
• Be responsible for making effective use of your time, focusing on quality results instead of effort

What you should have:

• Proficiency with backend technologies (we use Node.js and Postgres)
• Proficiency in Typescript and Javascript
• Proficiency using version control in a team-based setting (we use git/github)
• A proven track record of implementing, shipping and maintaining production software
• A history of collaborative, team-based work
• Strong communication skills and an ability to clearly explain technical topics to engineers and non-engineers alike
• Little need for direct oversight
• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience

• AWS services (S3, SNS, SQS, etc.)
• Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes
• SaaS experience
• Ruby/Rails

The pay range for this position is $105,900 to 158,900 for all US locations. Articulate takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
