Provide advanced cloud operations, ensuring performance, reliability, and security for Akamai's cutting-edge Zero Trust platform.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Building backend services and automation using Golang and Python
• Designing, building, and maintaining components of our MLOps platform, including distributed compute, orchestration, visualization, and metadata tracking
• Developing and operating Kubernetes controllers/operators to automate the lifecycle of ML workloads and pipelines
• Integrating and orchestrating PySpark, TensorFlow, and Ray jobs at scale
• Working with SQL-based data platforms to enable performant ETL and analytics pipelines
• Collaborating with ML and data engineers to build reusable, self-service tools

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 2 years of experience in backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/its equivalent
• Have good programming skills in Golang, Python, and SQL
• Have experience with Kubernetes controllers, CRDs, and controller-runtime
• Possess great problem-solving, debugging, and systems design skills
• Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration in cross-functional teams
