You will take ownership of key features and improvements, ensuring high-quality code, performance, and user experience. You'll collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, and Program Management to deliver scalable and reliable solutions that delight millions of anime fans. You'll be a part of an international team of 100+ client engineers, where your contributions help maintain Crunchyroll's position as the premier anime streaming service.</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to the design and implementation of Android features that enhance our streaming apps across supported platforms.</li> <li>Collaborate on solutions that improve code maintainability, user experience, and overall app performance.</li> <li>Identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, or reliability issues, and work with engineering leadership and your team to address them.</li> <li>Maintain high standards for code quality and engineering best practices across the Android stack.</li> <li>Participate in design discussions and code reviews, contributing to a strong team culture of technical excellence.</li> <li>Support operational excellence through sustainable on-call practices and a focus on reducing long-term toil.</li> <li>Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in Android development to ensure our apps remain competitive and modern.</li> </ul> <p>This is a hybrid role (3 days per week in the office) that reports to an engineering manager in the Fan Experience Engineering Organization.
