What you'll do at Jamf:

The Software Engineer I is responsible for building tools required to help organizations succeed with Apple. Workclosely with the agile team to learn the appropriate designs and practices to build Jamf products. 

Collaborate with experienced Engineers, Product Management and leadership to understand priorities and how those help us solve problems.

 

This role if offered as remote in Minneapolis, MN or Eau Claire, WI. You may be required to work periodically at a Jamf office or collaborative work location with other Jamf employees in your area for certain events or moments that matter. We are only able to accept applications for those based in one of these locations.

 

What you can expect to do in this role:

• Independently complete a majority of identified tasks from start to finish with high quality and collaborate with more experienced Engineers when needed.
• Efficiently use available tools with minimal 
• Demonstrate solid understanding of Engineering best 
• Ask the right questions, solve problems and build great 
• Partner with team to understand and communicate technical concepts with others in the organization (Technical Communication, Support, Product and Cloud).
• Performs well defined tasks with increasing independence and seeks guidance when needed from more experience Engineers.
• Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and purpose of the organization.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience developing enterprise grade software with understanding of testing and quality assurance processes (Required).
• Knowledge of UI Development Frameworks, preferably React (Required)
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS (Required)
• Experience with Git and version control best practices (Required)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in current programming language and tools based on position requirements (Preferred)
• Experience with Java backend frameworks (Spring Boot or similar) (Preferred)
• Understanding of Relational Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar) (Preferred)
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Hands-on experience with AI-driven coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, others to enhance development productivity
• Strong communication skills
• Proven analytical skills
• Ability to interact effectively with co-workers in a results driven culture
• Ability to adapt to changing platforms effectively
• Good listening skills
• Ability to engage with and establish trust and rapport with all levels of customers and employees
• Solution focused ability working collaboratively in a fast paced environment
• 2 year / Associates (Required)
• 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
• A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered

• Participation in ongoing security training is mandatory
