OVERVIEW

Caribou Thunder is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Data Science/Machine Learning SME) to lead the integration of machine learning (ML) and data science within a DevOps production environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ML model development, automation, and cloud-based analytics, along with strong programming and Agile development experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Design, develop, and deploy machine learning (ML) models and data science solutions within a DevOps environment.

2.    Act as an AGILE planning POC, collaborating with HW/SW development, engineering, and test teams.

3.    Support and enhance existing DevOps automation tools/microservices (GitHub, Bitbucket, Docker, Podman, Ansible, Kubernetes, etc.) incorporated within the CI/CD pipeline.

4.    Develop and implement automated build, testing, and security scanning for data processing services and COP/CIP deployments.

5.    Provision analytics software and operations using web-delivered technologies.

6.    Optimize data schema structural mapping in coordination with the DevOps team.

7.    Maintain and monitor Kubernetes infrastructure within a BH environment, addressing performance impacts and system metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS

1.    10+ years of experience in computer science/software engineering.

2.    2+ years of experience as a data scientist and machine learning engineer.

3.    2+ years of experience operating in a DevOps production environment.

4.    2+ years of experience with some of the following technologies:

5.    Operating Systems: Linux

6.    Programming Languages: Python

7.    CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, BitBucket Pipelines

8.    Orchestration & Cloud Technologies: Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Serverless)

9.    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

10. 6+ years of experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
