Software Engineer, CoCounsel for Government

About the role

• Develop Features: Implement and maintain application components, following coding standards and industry best practices.

• Collaborate: Work with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to break down requirements and deliver features on time.

• Secure Coding: Learn and apply secure development principles to meet government compliance requirements.

• Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging tools and technologies, contributing fresh ideas to the team.

• Troubleshoot & Support: Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues within development and production environments.

About You

• Experience: 2-3 years of professional software development or equivalent internships/projects.

• Technical Foundation: Basic proficiency in Python or Java, with a desire to learn more about AWS, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and IaC (Terraform, Ansible/Puppet/Chef).

• Database Fundamentals: Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Postgres) is a plus.

• Growth Mindset: Eager to learn new tools, patterns, and compliance standards, while contributing to team objectives.

• Team-Oriented: Enthusiastic about collaborating and communicating effectively with peers and mentors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control practices.

• Interest in or prior experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, FIPS).

• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud services.
