Job Title Software Engineer (Cloud Platform Exp.)

Locations: Remote

Get To Know The Team:

The Cloud Platform Experience team is responsible for developing and operating our SS&C cloud portal, which provides teams the ability to self-service infrastructure (compute, network, storage) for their application needs.  We have a variety of front-end, back-end, and operational work as we strive to provide full-service ownership for our applications and services. 

You will be partnering with software and operations engineers to support a modern private cloud that can handle the requirements for a global company.  

This position is open to remote work from within the US.

What You Will Get To Do:

• Work with a team of engineers supporting and enhancing our enterprise cloud platform. 

• Duties include software design, implementation, and testing. 

• Follow established team patterns and practices. 

• Work with various technologies that facilitate full-stack software development including Java Spring, Angular, CI/CD, Kubernetes, VMs, containers, databases, and more. 

• Enhance and maintain documentation, test, and demo code changes, review pull requests 

What You Will Bring:

• Engineering degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience or 3 + years of development experience (Go, Java, Python or other languages) 

• A solid foundation in object-oriented and cloud-native design 

• Experience in writing HTTP services in higher-level languages (e.g., Java/Spring, Go) 

• Experience with relational and document databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, etc.) 

• Experience learning new open-source software, APIs, and frameworks 

• Exposure to automated testing, modern CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes 

• Familiar with bash, Git, JIRA, and agile methodologies 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Advanced knowledge of the Java Spring framework
