This position is for a Software Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We welcome applicants at varying experience levels.

Responsibilities:

• Working in a collaborative team environment
• Work with a group designing the next generation software and hardware for satellite communications signal monitoring
• Define, track and work on tasks that help the team drive to defined demos and checkpoints
• Designing, coding, integrating, configuring, and testing software.
• Collaborate with other disciplines including electrical engineering, firmware, and test.
• Use your skills in Python and C++, message protocol interpretation, real time processing, test script development and use of agile processes working under minimal supervision
• Conduct automated and manual testing of applications controlling integrated hardware and peripheral equipment while supporting/enhancing existing software products as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

• College graduate with a Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field
• 2+ years of experience PYTHON development
• 2+ years of experience C++ development
• 2+ years of experience with the Linux Operating system
• Experience with version control tools such as SVN, GIT
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree a plus
• Experience with real time systems
• Experience with satellite communications and signal monitoring
• Experience with the use of lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers
• Experience wth the satellite groundstation equipment is a plus

 

Pay Range:  Colorado Pay Range: $88k to $105k.  Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
