Who We Are
As a Software Engineer 1, you will work within an agile team to design, develop, and maintain software applications that support our nation’s most sensitive missions. This entry-level position focuses on applying basic engineering principles to develop code, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with senior engineers to deliver high-quality solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence community customers.
What You Will Do
- Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
- Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
- Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
- Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
What You Must Have
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- Candidate must have three years in scientific programming and information systems management.
- Candidate must have experience with Windows, Linux, or UNIX environments.
- Candidates must be proficient in Visual Basic, Visual Studio .NET, SQL Server, and web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, SGML/XML, and PDF integration.
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
- Candidate must be based in or willing to commute to Philadelphia, PA.
Bonus Points For Having!
- Expertise in JavaScript and HTML for front-end development.
- Experience in working with Oracle as a backend database.
