Responsible for developing innovative healthcare solutions using Microsoft technologies and the Azure cloud. This role plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that enhance patient care, improve operational efficiency, and adhere to strict healthcare regulations.

 

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Software engineering:
    • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using Microsoft technologies, including .NET, C#, MS SQL, and Azure.
    • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
    • Build infrastructure as code scripts to automate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure.
    • Employ automated and manual testing methodologies to thoroughly validate software applications and ensure they meet user expectations and quality standards.
  • DevOps:
    • Monitor applications to proactively detect issues and implement solutions.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues promptly to minimize downtime and impact on users.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software features.
    • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
  • Documentation:
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software architecture, design, and deployment processes.
    • Keep documentation up to date to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Security:
    • Adhere to strict healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, to ensure data privacy and security.
    • Conduct regular security audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with management, teammates and other departments to source and collect data
    • Support the team culture within the organization by adhering to policies, practices, and the Company’s mission statement. 
  • Follow internally established processes for software development.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience building cloud software systems in a team setup.
  • Experience working with Agile tools and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Solid understanding of Azure cloud services and components.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply SOLID principles to design and develop maintainable and scalable software.
  • Experience with database design and querying.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, C#, .NET Core, IaC, Unit Testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps.
  • Comfortable working with diverse teams and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
