Sigma Defense is seeking a Software Developer to provide the government with support for the follow-on system to the Naval Integrated Tactical Environment System (NITES), NITES Next. This system will increase the capabilities ashore, afloat, and mobile METOC support for tactical operations.

This role will work with the government and contractor teams to develop software products that will directly support Navy and USMC METOC professionals.

Requirements

• Must be a citizen of the United States.
• A minimum of 1 - 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with managers, direct supervisor, peers, and customers.
• Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure optimum productivity.
• Comfortable working as part of an Agile development team.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and willingness to take initiative.
• Able to quickly grasp and implement technical concepts.
• Familiarity with REST API.
• Basic knowledge of Linux.
• Basic knowledge of IT practices and networking.
• Basic knowledge of SCRUM or Agile methods.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operations systems, Microsoft Office Suite Products, and PC hardware architecture.
• Understanding of customer interfacing and collaborating with team members to meet project goals.

Personnel Clearance Level:

• Candidate must possess an active, DoD issued Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in the following disciplines: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering or related field of study.

Certifications:

• DoD 8570 or COMPTIA Network +
• Security+ is preferred

Salary Range: $65,000 - $95,000 annually.
