Software Developer

Description

 Concept Solutions is looking for a Software Developer to perform programming duties including design, specifications development, and system implementation. The Software Developer will  provide assessments regarding current, state-of-the-art and industrial trends in the computer field. Designs and implements computer algorithms and reviews existing legacy code systems considering current "best business" practices of computer science.  Additionally, this team member will provide Tier III customer support as needed. This is a local remote position in the Washington, DC area. 

This position will function within a highly motivated, dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas 

• Full stack developer with the ability to develop applications in .NET/C# and the understanding of Classic ASP to support existing applications.  
• Knowledge of front-end web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, Typescript, Apache NiFi, etc.
• Comfortable using form inputs, post data, and view state.
• Strong skills working with databases, especially Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git (Bitbucket).
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance for the federal government.
• Strong knowledge of the common web server exploits and their solutions.
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
• Strong database skills including writing SQL queries, writing SQL stored procedures, and optimizing queries and indexes for large data sets.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases and their declarative query languages to understand legacy systems integrated with new technologies.

Requirements

  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject from an accredited U.S. college or university.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a developer working on complex web applications and data.
• Relevant Substitutions: 5 years relevant experience for no degree and Master’s Degree counts for 3 relevant experience
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (or higher) from a federal agency.
