Software Developer

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the design and development of enterprise digital solutions applying architectures using microservices, service-oriented architectures (SOA), cloud/hybrid computing, web, mobile, and IoT devices. Salary range: $90,000 - $121,000 Per/year

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Design and development of enterprise digital solutions applying architectures using microservices, service-oriented architectures (SOA), cloud/hybrid computing, web, mobile, and IoT devices. 
• Develop application components ranging from front-end user interfaces to back-end services. 
• Design and develop application interfaces for related Web and Cloud services. Develop software stacks, tools, programming models and Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for new hardware and software services. 
• Write and conduct automated unit tests using Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) techniques. 
• Collaborate with product owners and developers to support the design and release of digital solutions. 
• Provide work effort on product backlog items that satisfy sprint increments and solution releases. 
• Present working solution proof-of-concepts and sprint increments to product stakeholders. 
• Perform peer code review activities including, but not limited to, unit, integration, system, and software functional testing. 
• Create and maintain documentation of digital designs, including, but not little to, architecture drawings, design documents, and in-code documentation. 
• Design solutions with a DevOps mindset that scale as volumes increase. Investigate and resolve issues on released solutions in a timely fashion. 
• Research and review innovation concepts and provide technology input, prescribing appropriate design/development direction that balances business requirements with technology standards to attain the optimal solution. Drive development process improvements and establish best practices. 
• Research and review innovation concepts and provide technology input. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to accomplish project/product objectives. 
• Telecommuting is permitted. 
• Requires 10% percent of domestic travel.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or in a related field and three (3) years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or a related role. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience, will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or in a related field and (1) one year of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or a related role.

COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:

• Work experience with: Azure Devops, Azure AD, Postman, Azure Data Studio, Azure Security Center, Insomnia, React, B2C Custom Policies, .net, Azure pipelines, Jest, SQL server management studio, Veracode, OpsGenie, Pingdom, SonarCloud 
• Software development experience, including working with IoT, web, mobile development platforms using Microsoft Azure 
• Competency in digital software programming - .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, C#; TypeScrit, Terraform; Node.Js, Python; Entity Framework Core; PowerShell, Selenium; and Swagger and Single-SPA.
