The Release Automation Engineering team provides automation support to ensure a high-quality update experience for our customers across all platforms. As a member of the team, the work you do will impact each and every one of our customers! We are seeking an Automation Engineer to help us ensure that our macOS, iOS, tvOS, and watchOS releases continue to be stable, reliable, and bug-free. Our group works in a fast-paced dynamic, you will work with groundbreaking technology while enhancing our testing capabilities for new features. Description
This position requires a motivated, technical engineer to create, maintain, and expand automated UI testing for iOS and macOS. You will help drive our testing capabilities for iOS and macOS, as well as triage the results to find any and all software bugs present before the software ships to customers. Minimum Qualifications
- Experience developing UI automation, preferably in Apple frameworks such as XCTest.
- Programming skills in one of the following; Python, Swift, and Bash.
- Knowledge and experience with test methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, functional testing, etc).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with developing test strategies, including writing test plans, test cases, custom tools, and testing architectures.
- Organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results.
- Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,700 and $204,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
