Software Applications Manager

Overall Purpose Of The Job
The Application Manager will be responsible for being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and providing technical support to users of internal applications used in the company’s day-to-day operations. In addition, they will be the lead trainer for those applications to assist in a train-the-trainer for remote projects as they come online. Good customer service skills are essential in this role, as is the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide technical assistance and support for software applications.
· Answer questions or resolve software problems for clients in person, via telephone or from a remote location.
· Install, modify, and repair software applications. Train users to use new or modified applications.
· Read technical manuals, confer with users and conduct research to solve problems as they arise.
· May also refer software problems to vendors or technicians for further resolution.
· To install, configure and troubleshoot computer software.
· Provide technical assistance and support for internal applications. Applications include, Connecteams, Salesforce, and SuccessFactors (MyHR), e-Clinical Works (eCW), BusinessCentral and others.
· Provide training for users in the internal applications.
· Train other “super users” through documented procedures so that remote projects have their own, project level SMEs
· Read technical manuals/articles, confer with users, and conduct research to solve problems as they arise.
Experience Required
· 2+ years of experience in IT technical support and customer support
· Experience in support with Microsoft Office365 (M365) applications
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Mobile application development a plus
Education Required
· High school diploma or equivalency and at least one IT-related certification
· Bachelor degree in computer science or similar technical degree preferred
Physical Requirements
· Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
· Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
· May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications
· Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.
· Must be able to relocate to Houston.
· A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your employment.
