Overview

The Social Worker provides social work services to patients, families, and others in all hospital areasspecific to assignment as applicable, and in accordance with hospital customer service expectations.Professional services to be provided to meet the psychosocial needs of the patient may include, but arenot limited to, psychosocial assessments, brief treatment/counseling, crisis interventions, caseconsultation, patient education, resource management, assistance with discharge planning, and supportgroups.The Social Worker is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, providing mental health expertise inaddition to community outreach, networking, and liaison with community programs as needed.This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMCand Anaheim Regional Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistentwith the core values of AHMC. The employee shall support Anaheim Regional Medical Center’sstrategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan. The employee will also beexpected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service,Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care.

Qualifications

MSW, MFCC or LMFT degree from an accredited school required.Two years acute or related medical care experience preferred.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSLCSW preferred.Healthcare Provider CPR required.
