Position: Technical Development Coordinator
What will you do?
As a Technical Development Coordinator, you will play a vital role in transforming design concepts into high-quality, functional garments that fit beautifully and support a wide range of activities. You’ll collaborate across teams to ensure fit consistency, leverage 3D tools for virtual development, and help streamline our product creation process to support sustainability and speed to market.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
- Support the Technical Developer and Product Developers in bringing apparel to life from concept through production.
- Assist in garment fitting across all in-line product categories, including SMUs and collaborations.
- Utilize 3D development tools (e.g., CLO 3D, Browzwear) to create virtual prototypes and support digital workflows. • Ensure fit accuracy and consistency by measuring samples, preparing for fittings, and capturing detailed feedback.
- Manage fit session logistics, including scheduling, model coordination, and documentation.
- Maintain and organize sample libraries, SharePoint folders, and inspection reports.
- Enter clear, actionable fit comments into Enovia to communicate with manufacturers.
- Support the creation of 3D garment files for size run reviews and proto evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Merchandising, and Product Development to uphold design intent and fit standards.
- Contribute to efficiency and sustainability by supporting digital product creation initiatives and helping reduce physical sampling.
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 2+ years of experience in the apparel industry, with a focus on technical development or patternmaking.
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred"
- Strong interest in fit, patternmaking, and 3D apparel development.
- Proficiency in CLO 3D, Browzwear, or similar virtual sampling tools.
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, MS Office, and PLM systems (e.g., Enovia).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of product lifecycle, materials, and category-specific requirements.
- Experience with wool is a plus
