Who we’re looking for
SmartPath is a complete and seamlessly integrated online and in-store digital retailing solution for Toyota guests and dealers. SmartPath is an enterprise-wide program that will contribute to a more inspiring, innovative, and exciting Toyota by creating the #1 retail experience for our owners and future Toyota guests. This experience will leverage insights, digital tools and services co-developed with dealers, Toyota Financial Services, the field organization, and the Toyota IT department. SmartPath will satisfy the guest’s demand for a timely, tailored, and transparent retail experience on-line and in the dealership.
Reporting to the Cincinnati Region Digital Field Manager, the SmartPath Digital Field Manager will have the responsibility for working with interested Cincinnati Region SmartPath dealerships with demos, scheduling, contracting, coordinating, managing, and leading dealer launch activities for SmartPath dealers and SmartPath sustainment once launched. This position includes travel to Cincinnati Region dealerships and will work in conjunction with the Cincinnati Region Digital, District Sales and District Service and Parts Manager Teams to reach the National and Region SmartPath goals.
The SmartPath Digital Field Manager will serve as the field point person and subject matter expert for SmartPath. This position will be expected to act as the SME with insight to answer questions, troubleshoot and share solutions with Region Field Travelers and dealerships. This position will act as the SmartPath liaison with region and HQ management.
What you’ll be doing
•Work with Toyota dealers, HQ & Field travelers to coordinate and manage the SmartPath dealer launch process, from initial dealer kickoff meeting through dealer launch week training.
•Lead and facilitate SmartPath dealer training sessions as part of the SmartPath Pre-Launch dealer activities.
•Lead and facilitate dealer training as required during SmartPath launch week.
•Conduct demos of the SmartPath product suite for Toyota dealers and region personnel as required.
•Manage a portfolio of 25+ dealers at any one time through various stages of the SmartPath launch Lifecyle.
•Facilitate and communicate resolution of dealership technical and systems issues with SmartPath Technical Support team.
•Communicate SmartPath program updates (e.g., new functionality, program pricing, technical issue resolution) as required to dealers and regions.
•Work with Toyota dealers and Field personnel to identify critical business metrics to measure the overall success and dealer adoption of SmartPath.
•Assist Toyota dealers and Region personnel with ongoing training, change management, and process improvement activities as required.
•Provide timely communication and feedback to SmartPath Retail Training consultants.
•Follow up with dealers and drive completion of SmartPath launch activities to ensure adherence to SmartPath launch schedule.
What you bring
A successful candidate will possess:
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher), or equivalent professional work experience that is relevant to this position.
• Experience in a Toyota field office or in positions at HQ with significant responsibility for dealer interaction.
• Strong understanding of automotive consumer digital user experiences and user interfaces.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong record of overcoming key obstacles with stakeholder groups and handling objections to achieve win/win results.
• Strong ability to build cross functional relationships across the TMNA organization, IT, TFS, Marketing, etc.
• Intermediate or above skill level for Microsoft Suite of tools including Office 365.
• Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing successful dealer programs.
• Knowledge of the latest digital trends and best practices in online marketing and e-commerce.
• Experience interfacing with high levels of management at TMS, TFS, field offices, and dealerships.
• Strong analytical skills
