Job Title: Skilled Production Operative
Reports to: Shift Manager
Location: Nantwich, CW5 6DN
Hours: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm (Rotating)
Salary: £12.75 to £13.70 (Depending on experience)

A Day in The Life of a Skilled Production Operative
As a skilled production operative, you will work within a team in the factory to ensure the efficient production of our products. Your key requirements include:
- Set up and oversee the production lines in accordance with requirements for start ups and changeover.
- Working in the open product area, understanding waste procedures and stripping of product.
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently to produce top quality products.
- Ensure that all operational documentation is completed accurately and promptly on our internal system that measures performance.
- Be responsible for carefully and efficiently packing a variety of cheese products for distribution.
- Perform quality inspections on materials and finished product to ensure our products are of the best quality standards.
- Be responsible for accurate code changes on our products and packages.
- Carry out pre-start up checks, monitor equipment and process performance.
- Effectively maintain accurate data records and paperwork, control of production CCP’s (Critical Control Points).
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain your workstation in line with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Perform to meet departmental goals and quality targets.
- Ensure that any issues that arise are promptly and accurately reported.
Personal qualities and experience:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential as the role will involve running machinery and equipment.
- You will ideally be a people person as you will be working closely in a team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and consistency are essential to enable you to work effectively as a team member.
- A willingness to learn, share knowledge and develop.
- Adaptability and flexibility as you may be required to work in different areas of the factory, as well as perform other reasonable tasks.
- A willingness to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
- Good verbal, written and numerical skills.
